It’s good to pick a 15 character or less brand name for your website. You can use this for your twitter handle and for other social media sites. We have dummieswebsites for our twitter handle.
A very useful tool for discovering if your chosen brand name is taken is Know Em. You just enter the name you are thinking of using and KnowEm will search over 340 social media networks to see if anyone is already using that name.
